Introduction
The initial meetings about advertising for our event at club 4100 have been successful. A lot of ideas have been hashed out and organized so that we can reach as broad of an audience as possible for our event. Amongst other main stream outlets of advertising I proposed we use a "Street Team" to physically canvas the Brooklyn neighborhood and garner interest and support from local residents. The Street Team would hopefully have shirts or some other form of identification to let residents know why we are in their neighborhood. The teams will initially go to some sort of community meeting or event in mid-March to present the basic project idea to the Brooklyn Community. The idea of this presentation is to introduce the community to our project and hopefully get support for the event. A second visit by our street teams will occur within a week or two of the actual event. This second trip would involve our teams going door to door in the neighborhood surrounding the 4100 club. The teams will hand out our official fliers and speak with the neighbors to ensure a good turnout of local residents. So far I feel confident about our advertising prospects and I think we are capable of reaching a wide audience in the Baltimore Metropolitan area.
